Christmas in Dixie: A holiday review

I was very excited to make the trip home for Brad's post Christmas break!

We visited with both of our families and one of my good friends Sabrina.

We enjoyed catching up and making Match predictions as her husband will

be having match day in March just like Brad last year.

Of course! In other coffee cup news The Tide won the first round

or the football playoffs while we were home. Making for a very Happy

New Year's Eve for Brad. That puppy by the coffee cup is Miller!

My brother Trey got the cutest puppy for Christmas this year.

They are getting married in May!

While home our cousin Gina was so kind and passed on

an awesome Pottery Barn coffee table and mirror, which she

had in storage and was done using! I love the addition to

our room and am so excited and thankful for her gift!

Lake Christmas

This year my parents moved to the lake, and they will be celebrating their this morning!
Brad and I are in Texas for the holiday and I am dreaming of a lake side Christmas!
Here are a few essentials For Christmas Morning gift opening sessions! I can see it now!
A great Pine Tree under the covered porch with warm pjs and of course shoes due to
the outdoor location! Warm coffee and a comfy chair and blankets to keep warm while
reminiscing over christmas pasts and a camera to document the holiday hoopla
and gift exchange which is always a fun time! We will gratefully get to visit the lake next week and
i'll share pics with you then! Until then Merry Christmas! Love has come this day we
celebrate! Love is here and he will come again! Love to you all!

Neutral Vibes

No I do not have children, but I enjoy being able to play house
on my off days and Polyvore is a great spot to get all your creative kicks.
So here is to day dreaming and
pretty spaces even if it is just in cyber space.

I love the idea of gender neutral nurseries! So fun right?!

The above photo was put together with those couples in mind who
are brave enough to wait until due day to find out what they will be having.
Brad (my husband) has never seemed to understand what all the
fuss is about with baby gender..."It will either be one or the other." He always
says. That may be because he has not experienced it yet, but anyway.
I put all the neutral items to the left of the design.
These items would stay regardless of gender and could be
complete before heading to the hospital as the couple prepares for
delivery day!

To the right are fun touches that would be
added following delivery and the couple could enjoy the process
with their new little one in their arms. So wether its
cowboy boots or ballet slippers looking into your little ones eyes for the
first time will be a delight, and I think it would be fun to complete
the nursery decor after meeting them post delivery.
