New Year Improvements

My New Years Resolutions are short this year i am trying to set goals realistically so maybe i will keep them!

1. 
   
   Get Closer to God - Yes a bit personal but i feel if that i put it out there i will be more likely to fix the problem. I attend church, i read my bible frequently, but as for talking to god throughout the day i feel as if i am more distant. I want to be someone who others can see the Lord in. i want to feel his presence throughout the day. i am a bit of a control freak and so I compartmentalize my life and forget that without God i wouldn't have any part of life. So my goal is to include my god in my day, talk to him, listen to him, and ask him how he feels about the decisions i face during the day.
2. 
   
   Workout..Be more Healthy!- this one is more about being satisfied that i am not a size 2 and realizing that because I'm no longer tumbling and jumping everyday that my body won't be the same as it was in high school. I want to cut back on fried food and drink more water. And whether i lose weight or not i want to workout in some way everyday.
3. 
   
   Read more this one may be hard to do because during school most of my reading comes from the text books from my courses however i want to try and slip in some pleasure reading as well.
4. 
   
   Enjoy where i am in life- i want to not look as much to the future for motivation but enjoy each day and the blessings that come no matter where i am.
5. 
   
   Save Money.

   Love More.

The end of a Good Year

Today is the last sunday of 2009 and since it is a wonderfully lazy Sunday afternoon i thought i would take this opportunity to reflect on some of the things that have happend over the last year.
2009 In Review....

1. 
   
   This past year we found out that my most favorite Aunt Teso has cancer not just one type but three. My aunt has always been such a joy to be around truly the life of the party. So when she found out about her illness she took it pretty hard on one occasion i remember going to her house when she had just bought this juicer. It supposedly helped her to get more nutrients out of the foods she was eating i tried some apple juice it wasn't to bad. Teso started Chemo this year and she is still going strong.part two is that Teso's Daughter Angel had her first baby Abby Faith Brown was born on December 17, 2009. From these situations i have learned how to better forget yesterday,live today,and trust god about tomorrow.

   February was a fun month i got nominated to be on the homecoming court at EOCC i have truly enjoyed my experience at this school and am thankful for the chance to be so involved at my school.
3. 
   
   Summer was a blast and meant beach trips, lake visits, Bama Jam and many more warm fun days.I got to see Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson, Corey Smith, and Pat Green in concert which was exciting. I took Ethics over the summer i really enjoyed that class it helped me realize that there is life outside my Enterprise bubble. Also during the summer i started blogging my new favorite hobby!
4. 
   
   August brought the end of summer the start of another semester and the final high school year for Trey. My baby brother is seriously growing up. I started a new job which made 3 jobs and school on my plate for fall semester. Being busy sure does make time fly. Also in August Molly had a near death experience what a sad and scary day. My poor puppy was coughing up blood we took her to the doctor and she had to have a blood transfusion. Thankfully she is all better now.
5. 
   
   Trey turned 18 in September. i started painting which i enjoy but i don't think its my main talent. Also i began my annual trips to Birmingham to see my friends what a blessing it will be to finally get to live closer to everyone next year.October brought fall, football...the last game in the "Hole", and some pretty beautiful leaves.
6. 
   
   Basketball season was a little more spirited this year we brought signs and spread the word about our games a little more widely.Now the fall semester is over and thankfully i was able to pull an A in all my classes. Oh yea and i turned 20! Big deal huh?!

God is so faithful and loving and beautiful and big so so big yet he pays attention to the smallest details how weird he made the earth the universe the bugs the trees and he still has time and actually wants to love me how amazing how crazy thank you thank you thank you God for such a wonderful year and such a wonderful life!

Merry Christmas 2009

Today is Christmas the day we set aside to celebrate our saviors birth. Happy Birthday Jesus my family is spending the day at my grandmothers house in Andalusia. Santa came to see me last night i got a wonderful pandora bracelet and some gift certificates that i can't wait to use!I love Christmas it seems everyone gets along a little easier than usual and love is in the air!

On Sunday night we all went to the Mc Queens and had some great Poppy Seed Chicken. It was so good to see everyone! Of course we had lots of fun catching up on all the gossip...

Christmas Break

Today i finally got to take my last human anatomy test today

what a relief! Man I'm so excited to finally get to enjoy Christmas!

Today some thing else wonderful happened! Abbey Faith Brown

was Born and 4:50 pm she was 7 pounds and 21 inches! I am so

excited i get to go see her tomorrow! My Mom and Dad are going

to we are leaving for Birmingham in the morning!!

Hopefully i will have some pictures of her tomorrow!

Until then hooray for winter break! What a relief !

Oh and tomorrow grades will be posted so I'm pretty excited

to now how i did on the final!

Gym Remodeling

While working concessions the other day at the basketball game i had a little photo shoot with all the pretty new updates in the gym! I love the new scoreboard! And we now have automatic bleachers that can be pulled out with only the push of a button! I know this is normal these days but it is a big improvement from before!

and Lauren,Kaitlyn, and I all helped by serving cake and coffee to

the students while they watched Mrs.Turner Speak!

Memphis the Musical

As scheduled it is raining...i was eating breakfast and the today show was on and the cast of "Memphis the Musical" was preforming Steal you Rock n Roll it was wonderful. I want to see this i was watching videos on you tube and wanted to get up and dance around the room. It seems so energetic and fun. And the story seems good to. Man i wish i could sing...well.: ) Back to studying.

Schools Out

Yay i just heard the news! No school tomorrow the weather is supposed to be bad heavy rain maybe flooding...Sounds like a wonderful day to study! I am so pumped! Tonight im going to rewrite my Anatomy notes and then tommorow lots and lots of studying!! Thank God for Rain!

Bigger Things

On my 100th post i am complaining wouldn't you know it...Any way let me vent. Know matter where i am i am always looking for ways to encourage and support others. It's part of who i am i just wish i was content with only me wanting to support but no i am bothered by the fact that i go to a school with 100 people and only 5 people are interested in a spirit club. I mean we have a basketball team a baseball team and a softball team and no one attends the games. I have three jobs and have been to more sporting events then most. Why don't people have school pride? I mean i know its a Jr. College but bloom where your planted people. We could have such a fun time and support our sports teams but no. No one knows when our games our no one cares when our teams play poor athletes.
See what i mean? So why did i title this entry bigger things? Because as much as i have dreaded leaving the school and going to a bigger place i think im starting to look forward to going somewhere that has school spirit and school pride. Maybe there will be people who are more like me who want to be at the sporting events and cheer on the home team.until i get to go to the big city...even if im by myself ill be on my Weevils.

Christmas Gifts

Okay so Brad asked for Shoes for christmas i said well i can do that but
i think shoes are just so boring i want something more fun plus Brad said
he would have to go pick the shoues out with me...not very trusting of my
fashion sense haha.Anyway so im trying to stick to his request but there are
just so many pretty shirts here are some of the pretty things i've seen so far.


The belt the Brad wears is from like 1997 so i want to get him something a
little newer this one is reversible and only like $20.


If i was a guy i would have an addiction with Cole Haan Shoes they are
So pretty. I have had a pair since 10th grade and they have held up
really well. They are a little pricey though.

These shirts are pretty and the are anti-wrinkle so they woulde be good for
my college boy!

Thanksgiving Break

This past week i was out for our fall/Thanksgiving break!
The week was so relaxing and much needed. I worked Monday
and Tuesday then in Tuesday night i went to Andy and stayed
with my grandparents we baked and got got to go shopping!
On Thursday we ate with my family and my aunt and her
children. I realized this week that i had so so much to be
thankful for! I went home on Thursday and went to the movies
with Logan we saw The Blindside. What a great movie! Afterward
we came to my house and Sabrina came it was a great reunion.
On Friday Brad came home! He makes me so happy. We watched the
Auburn Alabama game which Auburn lost...but they did hold on
pretty well. I think Alabama will be disappointed next Saturday
(They play Florida for the SEC Championship).Yesterday we
went to our Sunday schools bon fire we rode four wheelers
and had a bon fire. We also made smores!!Then today Brad left
after church and i have studied for Human Anatomy only 2 more
tests!!
I can't believe this semester is almost over.Only 11
more days then Christmas break.Which means only one more semester
at EOCC. These two years have flown by i am really thankful that
i stayed here. Many of my friends went on to four year schools
like everyone expects you to do but i think this was the best thing
for me i have gotten to be a part of tons of activities i probably
wouldn't have been involved in at a bigger school. Also my grades
have stayed very good and i have been able to work and live at home.
See i have been thinking about how blessed i have been lately.
Thank You God for all these blessings.

Bells on Christmas Day

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was filled with sorrow at the tragic death of his wife in a fire in 1861. The Civil War broke out the same year, and it seemed this was an additional punishment. Two years later, Longfellow was again saddened to learn that his own son had been seriously wounded in the Army of the Potomac.

Sitting down to his desk, one Christmas Day, he heard the church bells ringing. It was in this setting that Longfellow wrote these lines:
