Friends, Conferences, Answered Prayers
I'm Hello blog world! Happy Valentine's Day Weekend. The past week has been a whirlwind of answered prayers and full of blessings! Since matching in Dallas we have prayed for community; assuming our prayer would be answered through Brad's residency relationships. God has his own plans though and our church family has served as a source of encouragement and comfort since pretty much day one.
We have been attending sunday school since June and have now joined a smaller group within the sunday school group called a care group. The care group is made up of 7 young couples in our area that meets each week outside of church to pray and be family to one another! Does it get any better? Both Brad and I do not have family close by so I am elated to have a Texas Family to share life with!
During my first time at care group I was surprised at how close the couples were and how much love we were shown. After leaving the group I was reminded how God uses each of us to be his hands and feet; to lift our heads and hearts during times of loneliness and sorrow. Praise God for his steadfast love.
Also, my supervisor at the hospital asked me this week if I would be interested in moving to an earlier shift which would be great because I would have schedule similar to the rest of world and would be able to see Brad and do more after work things! Prayers that it all works out as God wills it!
Lent began this week. As a Baptist we don't take ashes, but I am excited about The Season of Lent and the preparing of our hearts for Easter! Last weekend I got to see The If Gathering conference online and it was so amazing! I was greatly energized and inspired about living for Christ and showing others Christ's love. That's about it from our house this week! Just so thankful for where we are right now in life! Blessings!
