Girl Next Door

One on my next door neighbors from Birmingham

got married recently she was older then me but 

our brothers played baseball together so 

we often played together at the ball park.

Oh the friends i have made through Trey's 

baseball excursions. When we moved her 

little brother gave Trey on of his baseball 

jerseys so he wouldn't forget him. 

Which was adorable because He was only in 5. 

 Anyway her and her new

husband both went to Alabama for college

hence the cupcakes. Anyway her are a couple of 

pictures from the wedding!

My friend Sabrina posted this song

 on my Facebook and i love it! 

It puts me in such a good mood.

It's funny how i can be so wrapped

 up in school and in two seconds with

 the right music the stress is just 

lifted off of my shoulders. And its like...Lindsey you are going to get

 through this so why psych yourself out.

The sun was out today and it was warm 

enough to walk home from the gym in my shorts.

Man i can't wait for some warm weather

 and the time to sit out in it.

 I love God's sunshine I think

 it is one of his greatest creations.

 We are doing 7 Saturday clinicals

 in a row starting tomorrow so we will

finish up the Saturday before

 spring break. Yay!

Spring Break this year definitely

 falls on St. Patrick's day yippie!

 Spring time for me is just 

6 weeks away, and i have a test

 every week until then... at least

 time will fly while i study

my life away. Gotta Love 

Nursing School.

Pharm Ville

Pharm is not making me a very

likable person right now. We 

have been to our 3 hour class

3 times, covered 9 chapters,

had three different lecturers, 

1 very time consuming writing 

assignment, and a test 7 days

from today. Can you read 

the joy in my writing??!

My life is officially consumed

with books on nursing, drugs,

 placentas, psychiatric patients,

and in the back of my mind NCLEX.

I am trying to enjoy this time in my 

life and learn as much as i can, 

but sometimes i wonder what God 

wants me to learn other than 

how to hang 1000 mls of normal

 saline. Oh blogworld how i miss

 wasting so much time reading 

your posts.  

My mom and dad are both now

in Arizona they sent me pictures

over the weekend from their Sunday 

exploration of the city around them.

Mom seemed to be handling it okay

so far. I just hope she doesn't get to

home sick being away for 3 months.

 I told dad he should probably 

try and keep her pretty busy!

Back to Pharm.

Recap 2010

Better late then never a 

little recap from 2010:

I finished my last semester

at ESCC.

Celebrated my great aunt Shelby

on her 50th wedding anniversary.

Watched my little brother graduate from

Enterprise High School.

 Visited the Grand Canyon with

 my grandmother aunt and cousin.

Moved to Birmingham.

And made many, many trips home.

I got into UAB's Nursing School.

Sadly, my aunt Faye passed away

in July.

Celebrated my 21st birthday

 with my wonderful friends.

Visited New Orleans!

Went to Baby Abby's very 1st

Birthday Party.

Thursday Weekend

This semester i had the unlucky pick for

clinical and I have them on Friday and Saturday.

So now my weekend is on Tuesday and Thursday 

today i spent half the day at Lister...I could stay in 

forever. They have every book you could think of

on nursing and pharmacology which was so helpful

with this pharm. assignment. After Lister i ate lunch

and went to the gym which is almost empty during

the early afternoon!! Then i went Sterne and worked

with Kristen on our paper. 

There is a new Einstein Bagels at the LRC on

campus and i think every nursing student visits

it at least once a day either for breakfast, lunch,

or an after lecture snack. Seriously at every 

class there are at least 20 Einstein Cups!

Paper Extensions

Snow is still on the ground and it is still a very

cold walk to and from classes. I like seeing 

the wonderful white stuff everywhere but I 

also like to be able to feel my finger 2 min. after i 

walk outside! A miracle occurred in Pharmacology 

today Dr. Han ruler of all pain and suffering 

in Nursing School decided to give us a one week

extension on our first Pharm. assignment. Which 

i have been working, stressing, and yes even

crying over the last 4 days. Thank you Han!

My mom and Trey are coming up on Friday

and i can't wait to see them then I'm taking

mom to the airport on Saturday. Her and Dad are

working in AZ for 3 months hopefully they will 

take some pictures. They are working on an Indian

reservation thats ran by the gov. Dad has been out

there for two weeks and says he likes the work 

but misses home. I'm sure it will be better once mom 

gets there. I don't think they are to far from the 

Grand Canyon.

Anyway Hooray for paper extensions and

weekend visits!

Snow Storm

I WAS So amazed tonight by 

the huge amount of snow that 

fell outside my window! I jumped into

warmest clothes i owned and ran into the 

the street well on the way i called

Sabrina and got her and John to come play!

UAB is canceled for tomorrow so reading

will be pushed back yet another evening.

South Alabama kids are mesmerized by

all this white stuff falling from 

the sky. I called my dad and i was 

barely able to stop yelling long enough

to ask him why it was thundering 

and lightening while snowing...

"Snow Storming"...love it.

T Minus 4 Years

This January Brad and i have

been dating for four whole years!

I ordered Brad some workout 

thing he had been wanting but it 

didn't come in in time for the actual

anniversary so i improvised with the 

purchase of 3 bags of chicken, marinade,

rolls, and beef jerky. He was actually

very excited! Ha go figure we were

at the beach on our anniversary it 

was good to spend some time together

before we both headed back to school.

He is just to handsome. Thanks for 

being my best friend .... Love you.

New Year's in Destin

Sabrina and I really wanted to

skip Enterprise for the New Years

eve festivities so we planned a 2-day trip

to Destin, FL...so fun!

McQueens for Cookies

A couple days after Christmas the McQueens had 

their annual girls sleep over cookie night!

Amelia, Cassie, Juice and I all went over to the

Macs for a slumber party catch up night and

look who showed up!! Gah i miss

them.

I promise it feels like everyday there

is a new one. I just love it On Christmas

Eve two of my close friends from high

school got engaged to their sweet boy

friends!

Then when i got back

to school my current roommate

Rebecca told me she also got

engaged over the break!

I am so excited for all of these

special couples they are so sweet!!

Christmas

This Christmas was wonderful it was so good to be 

home with my family and i was able to see many of my 

friends. Chase and Janie got married on Christmas 

eve at the McQueen's and then ate lunch with everyone

on Christmas day. We ate at Gwen and Gary's their house is

so beautiful but they are trying to get rid of it with their 

children gone off and both of them getting married.

We went to visit uncle Donald he wasn't doing very

as far as recognizing who we were but he was in no

pain so that was a relief. This was the first Christmas

since aunt Faye passed away and the feeling at lunch

was kinda low but it was good to see all of the cousins.

Sonya and her two are now in Enterprise Halie is at

Dauphin i hope she enjoys it as much as i did....

8th grade is a hard year to move in during, but

she is tough and so very outgoing. Being

so beautiful doesn't hurt either.

Brad came over and we watch "It's a Wonderful

Life!" it was our 5th year of watching it together. 

We watched it for the first time after a basketball

game over at my house then we started dating that New

Years and we have watched it ever since!

This holiday season was a struggle i had to 

remind myself over and over the reason 

for us celebrating at all i wish society would

chill with all the you have to find the

perfect gift stuff and advertise why the holiday

really exists. Frusturating.
