Times of Struggle

So tonight i worked at EOCC i read all my material for the night and i remembered hearing the add on the Rick and Bubba show about their website so i went there to browse around. I clicked on the faith tab and there was a video from Rick and Bubba's wives from where they had spoke at a Ladies conference so of course i got pulled in and ended up watching the entire speech. It was so good.
There were some very catchy verses they brought up that got me thinking. Here they are:
Since then you have been raised in Christ, set your hearts on things above, where
Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above,
not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ who is your life appears then you will also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4

Set your hearts on things above- what girl doesn't need to do this more our culture tells us every day
to place our importance on finding our true love. So many songs ,movies,and magazines revolve around love/lust
fairy tales paint pictures of happy endings all after finding that one true love.
The truth is there is one love you can count on Always Everywhere in Anything. Our God doesn't love us because
of anything we did or could do he has chosen to love us with the most perfect love and he does so freely and
unconditionally. So set your hearts on things above this is a fallen world so cut yourself short by buying into
satin's tricks.
Set your minds on things above- Everyday when i watch the news or listen to the headlines on the radio
it seems like every story is about something negative or some catastrophe that has happened. Many cynical
people fill the media send negativity at us in all directions. Setting our mind on heaven and the life that is to come
sends a smile directly to my face. This song says exactly what this part of the verse reminds me of...
