I am so excited to report that my prayers
have been answered! One of my main
fears about moving away from my home was
finding a new bible study and a church in this
big city where i felt like i could meet people who could
help me grow on my faith journey with the Lord.
Thank you God. You never leave me not even
in this big big city i am never alone. Thank You.
Recently one of my friends from clinicals
mentioned that she wanted to start working out
more. I told here i had been dying for a gym partner
so i didn't have to walk alone after dark. So we
went to the gym every day last week! Having Kristen
there to remind me, "We haven't been to the gym yet today!"
Hasn't been the only blessing she has brought.
One of her good friends who is also
in Nursing school does a bible study on Wednesday
nights at (of all places) Starbucks! I knew there
was a reason why i always had a craving for it!!
hehe. But seriously last week was so great
we read a couple of different scriptures and
talked about how we could apply them specifically
to what we are all facing each day in nursing school.
It is so good to talk with God girls again.
And today Jana and i tried the contemperary
service at Dawson and we just happened
to sit behind the college ministry directors wife.
(Godcidience) During the greeting she introduced
herself and invited us to the college small group
after the service. Jana and I met two sweet girls
one who goes to UAB and one who is transferring
there for nursing soon. Next week is the groups service
week and we are going to take some children to the park
i know this is not very detailed but evidently these
children have very large families and few role
models plus the fact that all we have to do is play
with some kids to fill a need in their life is so
appealing to me. I can't wait. Thank you lord.
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your father has
been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:32
I love knowing that God considers me part
of his flock and he gets pleasure out of providing
all of our needs. Thank you father.
